I joined bootcamp sessions with Murat since last summer. So, it’s been a while...

I joined bootcamp sessions with Murat since last summer. So, it’s been a while. But, I stopped training in winter (just because I’m not a winter person!) and also cause I had knee injuries for a period of time. Then, I joined bootcamp again in the beginning of summer 2011. Some of the reasons of my coming back were:

1.       my jeans were starting to feel tight

2.       it’s summer and the chance ofme wearing swimsuit was getting higher

3.       my wedding was coming in about 3 months!

So, there you go. I was so ready to get up at 5:30 am three times a week to be tortured or yelled at! Running, push-ups, sit-ups, going up and down the stairs, all kinds of exercise to make you look and feel better, we did it all!

The good thing was I wasn’t alone. There were always other girls (girls bootcamp ROCKS!) who are willing to be tortured physically at 6 am too. You see, I’m not crazy! Plus, it’s fun!

My wedding was in the past now. We had a great one! Friends came from different parts of the world to Jakarta for the wedding. The bestman flew from Germany and the bridesmaid flew from China. Friends and family were all there. And I fit just perfectly in my wedding dress! Seriously! You should see some pics! ;p

And now, life is getting back to normal in Shanghai. No more wedding preparation, just enjoying a new status as a Mrs. Of course, I’m still doing bootcamp (even doing yoga too now!). Why? Cause it actually feels better when you look better. Plus, it’s still summer, AND I’m going to Vietnam next month, AND I have a wedding to go to in two months. That means, I have swimsuits and dresses waiting for me just around the bend!

I have been taking Murat classes at the Anken Green as part of the WHS 12 Week Challenge. Murat’s classes have been well-organized and informative. His extensive background in fitness is evident in the flow and intensity of his circuits and his energy is contagious! I feel healthier and stronger not only after each workout, but also every day. I joined SH Dolls bootcamp last summer and fell in love with it...

I joined SH Dolls bootcamp last summer and fell in love with it since the first session!  (well, although I went MIA for the whole fall and winter after that first summer! lol!). BUT, of all those waking up at 5-ish in the morning to get ready, bike to Jing An Park (or One Wellness Gym – when the weather is still cold), being yelled at by the lovely coach Murat, I seriously enjoy the whole thing!  Plus, you get to look better after those hours of tortures.  So, what are you waiting for? I've been in boot camps with Murat for a year. I must say it has been the best fitness investment I made!...

“I have been working out in boot camps with Murat for a year.  I must say it has been the best fitness investment I made!  I am fitter and stronger now and have come a long way from only being able to do 5 push ups in my first class!  And, my muffin (top) is finally showing signs of leaving me after all these years :) :)  Though we work out in a group, Murat keeps our personal fitness goals in mind and pushes us individually to reach for more.  Working out is not a walk in the park but Murat managed to keep it interesting by thinking up different routines and making workout fun.  I highly recommend Murat as a trainer for anyone looking to kickstart their fitness”

Boot camp with Shanghai Dolls is awesome!!!!...

Boot camp with Shanghai Dolls is awesome!!!!  Boot camp is for people who want to do some sport (like me), get fitter (still like me) AND with some “follow up management”  I would never be able to get up for 6am just to go to the gym by myself that often  …  I am the type of person who needs people to motivate me … !!

 

Murat, (the evil trainer) will be here to make you do all types of exercises, sometimes weird ones (and sometimes fun … I said sometimes only…)!!!  But I noticed the effects only after 1 month.  My body shape has changed a bit – It’s a start!!!

 

I still remember the first time I did bootcamp…. GOD I was SO SORE after!!  I only felt better after 3 days, but now it’s getting better and better!! :)  My body recovers a lot faster and I am feeling way fitter!

 

Plus am a morning person and I believe the best time to do sport is morning, because it kicks starts your working day: zennn!!! (and for those who have high stress levels at work like me – it’ll help you to control the urge to kill your colleagues and etc… in your day ^^)

 

For me I would see bootcamp as an alternative to the gym: I do sport (and I will use ALL the muscles that I have and those I didn’t imagine existed), I have gotten fitter, it feels like I have my own personal trainer (even though he can be evil when he wants to be ;) ) who motivates you to “DO ITTTTT” and “machine people ” I can admire and take as role models (I won’t name who but you’ll know who it is ^^), + meeting new people is always nice !

 

And finally I feel better!
